I don’t understand what some other reviewers are complaining about in regards to the main female role…maybe they got too use to being submissive over the last few years? Reyna was born a valuable slave to the Gold Court, imprisoned her whole life in a glittering palace by sadistic, greedy fae. However, in reality, she isn't, making stupid decisions that often put herself and others in danger. She can usually be found reading fairytale retellings, playing board games or binge-watching Netflix shows. Reyna, our MC, is a little too defiant for someone who is supposed to have been a slave for so long.

Very unsubtle writing as well, everything is spelled out and don’t forget the extra swear words for emphasis that just felt cringe. It wasn’t anything groundbreaking but held my attention, hit the right trope buttons, didn’t piss me off and I was to read the next one…what more can I ask for when I’m reading a book every 2-3 days?

I've had it for months and I couldn't decide to read it, once I started I couldn't stop until I finished it. I didn't get that with this book and I think it is because I didn't get to bond with any of the characters throughout the book because all the characters are just huge mysteries even after finishing the book.
