About this deal

The Peak Tram Lower Terminus is easily reachable on foot from the MTR Central Station or by public transportation.

A place of chocolate-box villages nestling in gentle countryside, with the prettiest cottages and dogs lazing by the pub fire. It will take approximately 10 to 15 minutes from MTR Central Station to the Peak Tram CentralTerminus on foot. The goal of the game is to reach the peak with your 2 mountain climbers before your opponent reaches the top. We kindly suggest visitors to take MTR from the nearest station to Central Station and reach the Peak Tram Central Terminus on foot. We won’t go into more detail here, but if you need more information on how to get up Mount Teide with this option, you can find it in this post which we have prepared for you about how to get the Mount Teide permit. It is quite steep in some sections, the atmospheric conditions harden the further up you go and the wild volcano vegetation can seem torrid, although the scenic value given by a climb to the peak makes the hike well worth the effort. Another mountain with an incredible view, one which many consider to be one of the finest views in the Peaks - Win Hill, allows you a panorama across the scenic landscape and the magnificent Ladybower Reserve - a must-visit for walkers and ramblers. It’s a great spot to enjoy fine sunset and night views of Victoria Harbour — and in spring, see the city enveloped in mist. Account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period, and the cost of the renewal will be provided. We will process the permit for you, include cable car tickets for just the right time and as an added bonus, the tour includes an official guide from the National Park who will be able to help you discover all the wonders of this natural paradise that you might otherwise miss.

Further information, maps, advice, and facilities can be found on-site at the Peak District’s four cycle hire centres (above). With over 65 miles of off-road cycling trails and a network of quiet country roads, huge amounts of the National Park’s glorious scenery are easily accessible by bike. Originally it served the governor and residents of luxury properties on The Peak, but has since transported tens of millions of passengers and become one of the city's top tourist attractions.

By Coach or Bus: National Express runs a direct service ( route 440 ) from London and Leicester to Derby. This is the home of Britain's original National Park and the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site.

Mountain climbing combines exploration with exercise and is often so fun that you forget the exercise part all together! Derwent Valley line (East Midlands Railway): connecting Derby and Matlock via Duffield, Belper, Ambergate, Whatstandwell, Cromford and Matlock Bath. For more incredible views take a look at our top five views in the Peaks, and if you have a head for heights try our post about the highest points in the Peak District.
