Interestingly, Zero:Red sound more controlled than KZ AS16 Pro, which use 4 BA drivers exclusively for lower frequencies. What on earth are you doing reading the rest of this review? You want this IEM so you know what correct tonality is, when you listen with other transducers such as headphones and speakers. Think of it as the tuning fork that a musician uses! Its made of good quality plastic, feels ok in the hands. Faceplate is a change from previous zero, this time its red like the name. Shells are average to small size. They are light weight. Fit is good, quite comfortable even for long listening sessions. Fit stability is good as well. Fit breathability is average. This has a fat nozzle so proper fit might be a bit subjective to ear size. Score 3.75/5

Also, this leads to a strange hollowness in the mid-bass region, something “mid-bass bad” crowd will probably try to pass off as a positive, but it is not often the case.HEXA is neutral with a sub-bass boost. So for mid-bass forward music like EDM and hip hop, it is also not the best option. The treble is on the smoother side, so if you are treble-head, it might not be the ideal pair.
