At no point on the way down did I feel uncomfortable; the design of the boots kept my feet firmly in place, and although I was quite sure my toes were spreading, the space in the toe area was more than enough to compensate for this. The glue has given way between the upper fabric of the right toe box where it meets the sole on the inside of the shoe. In addition, the stitching on the outside of right boot has failed; to the extent that water easily enters the boot. This leaves me with a wet foot, on the gentlest of walks without puddles.
